One of the most representative places in the Girona and Catalan Pyrenees is undoubtedly the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Nuria. Thousands of pilgrims and devotees have made the pilgrimage to this idyllic spot for years, to the point that in 1931 a rack railway was built to reach the sanctuary. The Old Path from Queralbs to Núria is today a popular hiking route that follows the traditional route walked by the devotees of the Virgin, crossing the narrow gorge of Núria and passing by the magnificent waterfall of Cua de Cavall, among other wonders.
