It is a place of the parish of Santa Maria de Francos in the council of Paradela. The Way of Saint James passes through As Rozas after leaving behind the parish of Santa María de Ferreiros and its villages, also belonging to the municipality of Paradela. The municipality, which since the first centuries of the French Way of Saint James was crossed by innumerable pilgrims, saw how this fact left its mark on it. Churches and monasteries, especially of Romanesque style, influenced its culture and history.
The parish church of Santa María de Francos, which is baroque in style and was very possibly a cemetery for pilgrims.
As Rozas, along with the other places of the parish of Francos celebrates Nuestra Señora on July 22.
A path leads to a small viewpoint over the valley of the river Loio, a tributary of the Miño, where there is a small humilladero where pilgrims have tried to imitate the Cross of Ferro.
It is said that a funerary monument existed here, since in the year 1120 it is already mentioned, but there is no record of who belonged to or who ordered it built.
The LU-P-4203 road that starts from Paradela in the middle of the road that connects Sarria with Portomarín is the one in charge of approaching us until the local road that arrives at As Rozas.
