In Chozas de Abajo you can see the typical constructions of the traditional architecture of the area where, as raw material, the protagonists are adobe, tapial and wood. Chozas de Abajo celebrates its patron saint festivities on 11 and 12 November in honour of San Martín. It also celebrates the 1st and 2nd of August.

In Chozas you can enjoy an incomparable tour, following the Route of the Lagoons, whose main attraction is the wide variety of habitats for the wildlife. Willows and mimbreras protect the environment where wild ducks, teals, bluebirds, lapwings and all kinds of migratory birds share space and living nature with barbels, tench and tents with which these lagoon waters have been repopulated.

Get to Chozas de Abajo by car

Chozas de Abajo is reached by the CL-622 to Ardoncino and from there following the local road that connects this town with the N-120 at the height of Villadangos del Páramo, passing through Chozas de Abajo. Also but to the inverse we can accede from Villadangos of the Páramo happening through Chozas de Arriba. Another option is the plots road, now converted into a local road linking the town with Villar de Mazarife.

By bus

Chozas de Abajo has a bus service that covers the line Villar de Mazarife-León every working day from Monday to Saturday, both inclusive, at different times and has a stop at the House of Culture.
