Did you know that... Moimentos

It is to the north of the council of Paradela, forming part of the parish of Santiago de Laxe, the route jacobea passes through the villages of Moimentos, O Cotarelo, Mercadoiro and Moutras. History and its settlers, especially the Celts, have left their stamp and culture, as witnessed by the castros that are seen in several places of the parish.

Mercadoiro

To discover What to see in Moimentos y Mercadoiro?

The village of Moimentos has beautiful stone houses, one of which has an engraving of the Maltese Cross on a lintel. It leaves behind the parish church of Santiago de Laxe with the cemetery around, to reach Mercadoiro where there was a pilgrim hospital in a, now rehabilitated, centennial house.

Festivities

On 13 June, the parish of Laxe celebrates festivities in honour of San Antonio.
